In Pakistan, obtaining justice has grown to be quite challenging. In the majority of civil proceedings, people must additionally pay court fees in addition to the outrageous fees charged by attorneys. Senior attorneys even get paid for providing legal counsel. The provincial administration of Sindh has decided to assist the citizens in this matter. The Legal Aid Society and Sindh Legal Advisory Call Center have partnered to offer free legal counsel to the general public over the phone.

For the purpose of offering free legal counsel to regular people, the Sindh government has recruited the services of eight renowned high court attorneys. Now, you can contact the Sindh Legal Advisory Call Center at 0800-70806 to receive legal assistance (SLACC). From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., you can dial this hotline number. Since the service’s inception in 2018, over 30,000 calls have come in from over 450 Pakistani cities, towns, and villages.

From any PTCL landline number, you can call the LAS helpline at (800) 70806 for free. In addition, you can also call this SLACC & LAS hotline number from a mobile device. In this case, calls to 0800-70806 will be charged at a discounted rate.

This project is being supported by the Sindh government’s law department. More attorneys will soon be hired for this free legal help program. Legal counsel will be given without fee in relation to civil, family, criminal, and tax issues. Such a helpful service for residents who cannot afford the high cost of lawyers must be introduced in other provinces of Pakistan
