HYDERABAD – The 768th annual Urs celebration of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar has been canceled to maintain social distancing as Pakistan is facing Corona Pandemic.
The Urs is held on Shuaban 18 to 20 every year at Sehwan Sharif.
The District Administration and Police have closed all roads going to Sehwan city on Sunday to prevent people from entering the town. According to sources1.2 million people were participating in Urs celebration annually.
Lal Shahbaz Qalandar’s Urs is one of the largest gatherings on the name of religion in which millions of people gather from Sindh, Punjab and other areas of Pakistan.
But for this year,768th annual Urs of Hazarat Qalandar Lal Shahbaz, which has to be started from April 12 to 14 (Shuaban 18 to 20) at Sehwan Sharif has been canceled, and a shrine is already closed by the Sindh government.
Devotees should stay home to keep Pakistan safe because it is a time to pray from God.
