Actor Yasir Hussain was the first one to raise his voice when Turkish actress Esra Bilgic became the brand ambassador for the leading Pakistani mobile phone brand QMobile.

The actor received severe backlash when he said that Esra doesn’t deserve to be the brand ambassador for the Pakistani brand. He was also supported by a few more Pakistani celebrities. However, it also started a debate when many Pakistani actors stood in support of Esra.

Now, in a detailed interview, Yasir has once again defended his stance and said that after working so many years in Pakistan entertainment industries in these tough conditions, Pakistani actresses deserve to be the face of Pakistan’s leading brands.

While talking to Anoushey Ashraf in an interview, Yasir said, “Why people are bothered in my opinion? I have my opinion you can have yours. I just want to say that she [Esra] didn’t even come to Pakistan for the shoot. All the shooting was done in Turkey. Call her here make her shoot in Peshawar and Karachi in tough conditions then it will be justified. Our actresses have been working in these conditions for many years. They deserve these opportunities”.

Yasir also raised his concerns when Turkish drama Ertugrul hit Pakistani TV screens. Many called him insecure and talentless when his comment surfaced online. “When your brother is fired from his bank job, sister is out of school, and father is laid off from his job, and instead Turkish people are enrolled instead of them, then you might know why I’m saying this,” he said.

However, on the other hand, Esra is enjoying a huge fan following in Pakistan. QMobile has used a smart marketing tactic to gather customers. Some Pakistanis are ready to replace their existing phone with QMobile soon after seeing Esra as the new face of Pakistani smartphone.
